Our Mission
To inform, connect and serve our community and beyond through relevant, accessible and credible local media.
Watching the neighbourhood
Nhlalala News was founded in 2013 as the community newspaper serving the Greater Giyani area. Over the years, the publication has grown beyond its original precinct, evolving into a small but growing commercial media platform while remaining firmly rooted in the community it serves.
Published predominantly in XiTsonga, Nhlalala News is produced on a monthly basis, with a print run of approximately 10,000 copies per edition. Each issue contains a minimum of eight pages of news, information and community-focused content, bringing readers relevant stories about their communities, local developments, people, businesses and issues that affect their daily lives.
Since 2016, Nhlalala News has also been online, enabling the publication to reach audiences beyond the traditional print footprint. Our digital presence complements the monthly newspaper and provides an additional platform for sharing news, information and opportunities with a broader audience.
Our continued growth reflects the strength of our connection with the communities we serve. While Nhlalala News has expanded its reach, our core purpose remains unchanged: to inform, connect and serve our community and beyond through relevant, accessible and credible local media.
Today, Nhlalala News provides a platform not only for news and community information, but also for businesses, organisations and institutions looking to connect with audiences in Greater Giyani and surrounding areas.
We remain committed to growing our publication, expanding our digital reach and creating meaningful opportunities for our readers, advertisers, partners and the communities we serve.
